So since it's July 8 (for those of us on this side of the Atlantic), let's create a study goal for this week. I take it we're going with Colloquial Swedish. Why don't we start off with the Preface, Notes on Grammatical Terms and Notes on Forms in Vocabulary Lists, and Pronunciation, Stress and Accents? So basically pages 1-19; everything before Chapter 1? You can skip any sections you're already familiar with. That way, those who need it can read up on stuff about sentence word order, pronunciation, stress, accents, etc.

It’s Ok for me. I think it’s better if we fix some weekly goals.

Well, it's Monday, so if I remember correctly, Vijay shouldn't have work, which means hopefully he'll be able to look through the introductory stuff and tell us what he thinks. Either way, I'm going ahead with reading through those pages. So, until agreed upon otherwise, as far as I'm concerned, this week's goal is to read pages 1 to 19. Hopefully if Vijay agrees with that, he'll update the first post to reflect this week's goal.

Lesson 97 of Assimil (just 3 more lessons to finish :D ). And beginning to review with Colloquial. But still hard to understand when listening to it, and when reading also

You can do it, Antea! :)

I haven't listened to anything new just yet because I'm busy with all these other damn languages lol.

Vijay, could you help me get Colloquial Swedish too?

If anyone needs help from a native speaker, it's nice to have a point of reference :)

Done! And of course (just in case you're interested and didn't know), the audio is available here if you want that as well because Routledge made all their audio free starting two years ago(?). :)

Thanks, I was just curious because there is a newer edition out too. Or so I'm given to understand.

Jag slutade med att läsa Assimil. Teoretiskt jag har nu grundläggande kunskaper. Men jag ska på något sätt öva allt detta

I wonder, is Swedish the only Scandinavian language that uses a cognate of sätt in the sense of 'way' or 'manner'? Is it related to set?

I'm ready to as well. I didn't listen to any of the audio, but I did read through the introductory pages. So for this week we'll do Chapter 1?
