Ombudskvinna

Postby Woods » 2025-01-10, 12:54

Usually I can't communicate with people on this forum due to their extreme bias according to what's fashionable in media on the relevant days, but I think we will be on the same page with this one:

In most (or all, I don't know) EU countries we have this authority called "ombudsman" (in Bulgaria we have one, in Finland we have twenty-something of them.

However, it feels weird to call them "ombudsman" when they are women!

I searched for "ombudskvinna" at svenska.se, but out came ingenting.

How come does gender-fluid (wtf, seriously?) Sweden call men and women hen (sort of - chsee's instead of he's and she's), but at the same time it calls its "assistance delegates" men when they are women?

Isn't this Sweden spreading anti-equality terms all across the globe, with speakers of the global language not even being aware of it?
