Hungarian(?) Translation

Postby davisma1984 » 2003-05-06, 19:42

I got this today. I think its Hungarian but I'm not positive because their aren't any accent marks. Does anyone know what it says?

Valahogy mas, ami ma tortent:
Bilincsbe vertem a szivemet onkent!
Ha ez a veg, amire vartam,
Az edes bortont vallalom batran!

Jojj! A kulcsot neked adom!
Legyel az orom eveken at!
Ne menekulj! Te vagy a feladatom,
Aki a csillagokban allt!

Hanyszor kerjem meg, hogy ram talalj, (ram talalj!)
Hogy eletfogytig ket karodba zarj?! (karodba zarj!)
Barhova sodor a szel, szamomra Te vagy a cel,
Akitol szep a holnapom mar!
Te vagy a szerelem es te vagy a befejezes,
Aki az almaimnak jar!

Hianyod meg meddig kell turnom?
Szeretlek Teged, csak ennyi a bunom!
Mit er a vagy szabadon szallva,

Csak benned latom mar a boldog holnapot, ami var...

Yes, it's Hungarian. Do I know what it says? No...

I don't promise anything (and hope for a Hungarian speaker to tell you EXACTLY what it is), but I may try to find out at least something about this poem. Just give me a little time.

I don't think its a poem. Now, I'm almost positive its a song because the part the starts with 'jojj' repeats once more and the part that begins with 'hanyszor' repeats several times. The title is "Szived Bortoneben." I found a copy of it on the net.

Hi, I'm learning Hungarian now. I agree with Mara, this text looks like Hungarian (Magyar). I'll try to translate some lines for you in a week or so. I'm really busy with college now.

I believe tha "A" and "Az" are definate articles like "the" in English.

I will try to translate it:

Valahogy mas, ami ma tortent:
Bilincsbe vertem a szivemet onkent!
Ha ez a veg, amire vartam,
Az edes bortont vallalom batran!

Somehow different happened today:
I handcuffed my heart!
If this is the end I was waiting for,
I admit myself into a sweet prison!

Jojj! A kulcsot neked adom!
Legyel az orom eveken at!
Ne menekulj! Te vagy a feladatom,
Aki a csillagokban allt!

Joj, I will give the key to you!
Be my happiness during the years,
Dont escape! You are my
who stood up on the stars!

Hanyszor kerjem meg, hogy ram talalj, (ram talalj!)
Hogy eletfogytig ket karodba zarj?! (karodba zarj!)
Barhova sodor a szel, szamomra Te vagy a cel,
Akitol szep a holnapom mar!
Te vagy a szerelem es te vagy a befejezes,
Aki az almaimnak jar!

How many times do I have to ask, so you could find me
?????????????????????????????????/
Wherever the wind blows, you are my aim,
He who gives me the beautiful tomorrow!
You are my love, and you are the end,
He who walks in my dreams!

Hianyod meg meddig kell turnom?
Szeretlek Teged, csak ennyi a bunom!
Mit er a vagy szabadon szallva,
Ha szivednel nincs jobb maganzarka?!

?????????????????????????????
I love you, that is my guilt!
What brooks or frees ????????
when near your heart there is not a better hole?!

Oly maskent cseng, a szo es a csend, ha melletted ebredek
Szived bortoneben, mert szerelem, szerelemnek tunik
Ha szemedben nevet ram a vilag, szavaid, szavaidba bujnek,
Csak benned latom mar a boldog holnapot, ami var...

OLY rings differently, a word and a silence, when I wake up next to you
your heart in prison, why love, turns into love to me
when the world laught about me in your eyes, your words, i would hide in your words
I can already see a happy tomorrow in YOU, which is waiting...
