About particular letters in Hungarian

Postby hotfruit38 » 2008-08-26, 13:45

Szia ! My name's Didier. It's first time I post in Hungarian forum. I have a question. Is anybody know how one can write a long "ö" and a long "ü" with an Azerty keyboard ? I mean which are numbers to use with ALT to write these letters ? I've already found "á", "Á", "í", "Í" ect...
Thank you in advance.
Didier :)

Hi Didier! I cannot answer for your question now, just let me tell a thing:
Saying "szia" is not proper on forums and in any other places where you greet probably more person.
One must use the plural instead, which is "Sziasztok".
Otherwise nice that there is another one having interest in the language. :)

Why don’t you just install the Hungarian layout? It must take ages to use the ALT codes for each accented letter, since Hungarian needs quite a lot of them.

Miért nem telepíted a magyar kiosztást? Nagyon sokáig tart ALT-kódokat használni minden ékezetes betűhöz, mert a magyarban ezekből elég sok kell.

That’s not a Hungarian letter. We use double acute accents, i.e. they are slanting rightwards: Ő Ű ő ű.

Ez nem magyar betű. Mi duplavesszőt használunk, azaz jobbra kell dőlniük: Ő Ű ő ű.

If you meant to say: "Now I can write Hunagrina letters" it is "Most [már] tudok magyar betűket írni" lit. "now [already] I-can Hungarian letters(accusative) to-write"

If you meant: "Now I know how to write Hungarian letters" it would be "Most [már] tudom, hogy hogy[an] kell a magyar betűket írni"

lit. "Now [already] I know, that how must the hungarian letters to-write"
