littera patentes

Hello / salvete.

I am writing an award for a medieval organization im with. The idea is that it is to imitate a letters patent, or charter. I have learned to read classical latin, so this composition is kind of out of my comfort zone, also, ideally its done in medieval latin or ecclesiastical latin or vulgar latin, and I (like so many of us...) was forced to read cicero and caesar. So, the wording of this is the subject of this post. First question, is how to render the phrase:

"we are mindeded to award arms to our subject ..."

i approached it thus:

Nos arma Nostrae civi ___ donare decreverunt. I wanted to use the word animadversere but I was unsure how to construct that (would it take an infinitive or what?)

Ill post more questions as I come to them.

Thanks in advance,
M
