Help with a couple quotes into Latin

Postby shoushupsy » 2010-04-13, 0:18

Can anyone help me translate the following into Latin, please? I would like to use these as quotes on a little personal project I'm crafting:

You versus you.

You can't have time unless you take time.

Thanks!

"You versus you" = "Tu contra te" or more precisely "Tu contra te ipsum"

"You can't have time unless you take time" = Because "take time" is a colloquial phrase in English, I'm not sure it's possible to make an equally snappy Latin translation. However, literally it would be something like this: "Si tempus non sumis, satis temporis tibi non erit." "If you don't take time, you won't have time."
