Lyric Translation

Postby calebfairley » 2007-12-06, 4:04

Salve! Would someone translate this into Latin? It's a part from my favorite song and I want to see what it is in Latin.

"Rest in my arms,
Sleep in my bed,
There's a design,
To what I did and said."

Tibi gratias ago. Vale! :D

How did you translate "There's a design" into "ut videas"?
Native languages: Hebrew (he) & English (en)

A design is something that can be seen? Besides i rendered it that way also to make up at least one rhyme. Similar as in the english version.

Tintinnabula (Jingle bells)
Tin-tin-tin tinniunt tintinnabula,
quam nos juvat vehi in patenti trahea!

1. Nocte hiberna qua nives decidunt,
trahea vehimur et omnes laeti sunt.
Equo trahimur per arva candida,
vehentes nos quam delectant cantata carmina!
(Ei!) Tin-tin-tin tinniunt tintinnabula,
quam nos iuvat vehi in patenti trahea!

2. Fiunt glacies sub tecto niveo,
trahea labitur nobiscum in agro,
forte iacta est puella iuxta me,
dic quem non iuvet sicut nos supinum cadere?
(Ei!) Tin-tin-tin tinniunt tintinnabula,
quam nos iuvat vehi in patenti trahea!
