Short Latin translation

I need help translating the phrase "Cannot stop the rain" into Latin, I attempted to myself and come up with "Non possest confuto pluvia." I don't think the verb is in the correct tense, as some sort of impersonal reflexive should have to be used, right? Anyways, any help is appreciated.

The sentance, "I cannot stop the rain" would be "Desistare pluviam non possum"

Anthony, the infinitive of desisto is desistere (it's 3rd conjugation), thus it's:

Desistere pluviam non possum
