This looks really great and I'm trying the beginner's course out. It has many exercises / sound files / videos etc. and even flashcards. Terima kasih for posting this! :)

This is a good resource; a collaboration between the School of Oriental and African Studies and University College London. It has beginner, intermediate and advanced materials.

I'm afraid this isn't an online resource, but there's a pretty good book for Indonesian called Everyday Indonesian. This is the newest version:

http://www.amazon.com/Everyday-Indonesi ... 439&sr=8-1

The version I have is a bit older (this is just a link so you can see what the cover of that edition looks like ):

If you want to understand Indonesian soap operas you'll need to learn everyday colloquial speech.
Owing to Javanization, modern Indonesian is highly diglossic (even in Bali people watch Jakarta-made soap operas on Kompas TV and they're not in the H register, but in the L).

There are a few Easy Languages videos for Indonesian (but even fewer than for Malay): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lDeyfxKrRk. GLOSS and LangMedia also have resources for Indonesian.
