Conditional in Indonesian

Postby 0stsee » 2010-01-30, 13:58

To answer Struthiomimus' question:

Conditional is built in Indonesian by "Kalau ... akan ..."

If I had a lot of money, I'd travel around the world.
Kalau saya punya banyak uang, saya akan keliling dunia.

You could replace "kalau" with:
bila (more certain)
andai saja (expresses a wishful thinking)
kalau saja (also expresses a wish)

In the spoken language, "akan" is often replaced by a slightly longer word "bakalan".
Ini tandatanganku.

Hi!
Sorry for the late answer.
Jika would be fine too. :)
There's also jikalau.
Ini tandatanganku.
