I've got a slogan to translate into Indonesian:
"a city on the sunny side of mountains"

Sunny = cerah, hence:

1. Sebuah kota di sisi pegunungan yang cerah (sounds weird....)
2. Sebuah kota di sisi pegunungan yang diterangi matahari (sounds OK but wordy)
3. Sebuah kota di sisi pegunungan yang bermandikan sinar matahari (a little bit poetic but sounds good, but wordy)

The choice is yours to make

How about using "yang disinari matahari"?
Is it wrong to omit 'sebuah' from the beginning?

Yes, "sebuah" can be omitted. Also, "disinari matahari" sounds great too.
