Hallo

Postby WildfireBlizzard » 2014-07-20, 23:49

*waves to forum*
I'm now trying to totally immerse myself in Norsk, especially since my best friend who I met online, who lives in Norway, bought me the first three Harry Potter books in Norwegian. I've found it's a way I learn well, things I already know, find the Norsk translation, because I've got a good idea of what is going on already.
Sadly, I appear to have chosen an unpopular language to learn there's few resources to learn, and even fewer free ones (I'm broke so can't afford the paid apps and such)
And then I found this place!
Hopefully this can help me too! :D
So I shall keep coming back here, in fact, I shall bookmark it.

^.^

Lese bøker på norsk er en god måte å lære språket. :y:

Reading books in Norwegian is a good way to learn the language.

The good news is there actually are a lot of free resources for helping you learn Norwegian. :y:

Don't get discouraged if you don't get a reply to some of your questions right away. A lot of Norwegians are on vacation during the month of July. 8-)

Det var godt å høre! :y:

That's good to hear!

I just googled "forums for learning languages" and this site was on the first page. :3
While doing research on studying methods I found that listed as another good way to learn, finding others who are learning it and getting help that way.

And thank you very much for the links. :D

Welcome! I'm not as active as I should be (far from it!!) but if there's anything, feel free to ask! Sometimes resources can be confusing and then it's good to have people to ask :) My boyfriend actually lives in Beloit, and he's trying to learn as much Norwegian as he can over there.
