Yeah, for now at least, we'll split the units that do two lessons from Swan in half. :P

I plan to finish with Lesson 3 (a.k.a. the first half of Unit 3) tomorrow, and move on to Lesson 4 (a.k.a. the second half or Unit 3) on Monday.

Dur, I'm stupid. :P Dzięki!

Ona jest urzędniczką w szkole. (simple Jest urzędniczką w szkole with the pronoun dropped would have more natural flow. Also who is an urzędnik w szkole?)

I noticed that they tend to pro-drop on the tapes after the subject has been introduced. I just thought it would be good practice in pronouns to include it.

As for what a urzędnik w szkole is, I'm not sure if I'm using the right Polish term (or if there's an equivalent in the Polish education system). In the U.S. we have people who work in the office of the school (payroll, communications, secretaries, etc.).

That would just be sekretarka. Urzędnik typically means somebody who works in a governmental or local authorities office, like in a city hall, ministry, tax office, or courthouse.

So, I took a mental health day yesterday (as I posted in my German thread :P ), so I have about 1 or 2 more exercises left in packet 3. I plan to finish those today and move on to lesson 4 (Unit 3 Part II) this week.

Ok, I just uploaded the materials for Unit 4 (Lesson 5). My plan this week is to finish up the last few loose ends in Unit 3 (mostly the Self-test, and I wouldn't mind taking another crack at the listening exercise [Packet 4 no 9]) and then complete Unit 4. I don't have that much going on this week. :P

So, I'm a bit annoyed by the audio with the workbooks as far as the dialogues go. (The audio is wonderful as far as the exercises are concerned! Don't misunderstand me!) So, I'm going to start uploading the audio I downloaded off Swan's site a while ago. It'll be a slow process, as they aren't labeled, but we'll get there. :P

By no means does this supersede the workbook audio. They work in concert. :yep:

Okay, this is probably a dumb thing to say, but I can't seem to find Pol 01 Tape 04A. :doggy: Nvm, I found it!

Btw what's wrong with the audio for the dialogues?

They don't always follow what's in Swan, and some dialogues are missing. Can't hurt to have extra audio, right?

Anyway, I did the same exercises you did again. :P

I assume the reason for the audio not matching perfectly with the textbook is because they used some of the recordings from the first edition of the textbook. Or they were sloppy with what they said. Or where trying to "fix" Swan's dialogues. Or something like that.

Anyway, I've been taking it easy this week. I've been going back over the past few lessons. Dialogues and such. I intend to move on to Unit 4 next week (Monday, Jan. 7)

Oh, I thought maybe the audio was from a different edition altogether from the textbook files...
