Hello everyone,
I'm having trouble finding resources about the basque dialect I'm learning with one of my neighbour, a lady in her 70's, coming from Oztibarre (France) but whose family came from a remote mountain village on the other side of the France-Spain border.
First I'd like to identify which dialect it is, then I'd like to look for resources about it eventually.
Here is a "sample" of what I've learned so far. I don't much "euskara batua" but it has quite a few differences from what I hear.
[*]"Egun un" instead of "Egun On"
[*]"Atsalde un" Instead of "Arratsalde on"
[*]"Lekia" instead of "Lekua"
[*]"Zakurra" instead of "Txakurra"
[*]"Gatia" instead of "Katua"
[*]Bat, biga, hiru, lau, bost
[*]Nahi huka edan ura?
[*]Zer ei zizte?
[*]Nola zizte? Nola hiz?
[*]Egun, demboa ederra eta inendut belua.
[*]Ikasten dut eskuara.
[*]Inendiat pasa/paxa lurdia.
[*]Debru urdi zaharra.
[*]Duiten niz bakantzat/isasoat.
[*]Bihar artio!
[*]Esker mila
I've learnt a few more things but I can't remember them right now.
I tried to render this lady's pronounciation as best as I can.
Any help would be appreciated!
Esker mila!
