Hi guys, I am desperately seeking for a translation of a critic from one of my performances published in BERRIA and so in Euskara. When someone could help me that would be so GREAT! (185 words,). I am ignorant in Euskara but I should be very glad to help any one with French, spanish and catalan.
Thanks so much

Hi,

yes, I could take a look on it. Where is the article in BERRIA? Can you send a link? Or perhaps even better, paste the article here, it could be interesting for the forum...

cheers

Thanks so much! so I post the article and thanks for translating if you manage it (Je suis Français, mi mujer es Valenciana, and I also understand basic English)

I only post the begin of the article because after it speaks from other artists, but if you like to see it all it is here:

KRITIKA
ANTZERKIA / 'PERFORMANCE'-A
BAD JAIALDIA
AGUR PEREZ
Dudarik gabe, formatu txikiko antzerki eta dantza lanak dira BAD jaialdiaren osagai interesgarrienetariko bat. Haiekin batera, performance-tik hurbil edo eremu horretan bete-betean sartzen diren beste lan batzuk etortzen dira, eta Etxea taldeak azaroaren 1ean proposatutakoa horren adibide garbia da.
Bilborock aretoko aulkiak sakabanatuta zeuden aretoko eremutik, eta ikusleen artean jesarrita zeuden Frederic Etcheverry eta Gloria Aras, elkarrengandik urrun. Hasierako lehen minutuak isiltasunean igaro ziren, lagunen arteko solasaldiak baretzen zihoazela. Denboraren jainkoari bere tartea eman ostean hasi zen performer bien ibilaldi mingarria, barne mina zelako bien aurpegiei, keinu neurtuei eta arnasari zerien materia.
Haiek, bitartean, behegainetik mugitzen ziren, bueltaka eta arrastaka, inolako testu, musika edota argi aldaketarik gabe, eta apurka-apurka aulkietako besoetatik eta zutik ere hasi ziren mugitzen, nahiz eta behin eta berriro behera -blaust!- jausten ziren. Zutik ibiltzeko, baina, jendearen laguntza behar zuten, eta orduan hasi zen denbora beste erritmo bat hartzen eta interpreteen barne egoeran aldaketa pozgarriago bat gertatzen. Izen ere, ikusleen kolaborazioa ezinbestekoa izan zen prozesuaren garapenerako, eta, amaieran, interpreteek beraiek eskertu zuten haien jarrera aktiboa. Emanaldian zehar, ordea, baten bat -nekatuta edo- aretotik joan zen, eta ezin izan zuen azken emaitzarekin gozatu. Lastima!

hi!

indeed an interesting piece of text to translate! It was funny to reword the basque expressions in English, as I'm not used to such an exercise. Well, please do not expect professional translator quality from me, my english version sounds probably dry and broken but I think it is a more or less reliable translation of the original meaning.

By the way, I just paid a visit to your website. Looks fascinating... hope you carry on getting good critics.

Best of lucks!

Without a doubt, the theater of little format and dances are between the most interesting elements of the festival BAD. Along these they're also some others, closer to or even absolutely aligned into the field of performance. The proposal of the Group ETXEA on the first of November is one of these.

Bilborock aretoko aulkiak sakabanatuta zeuden aretoko eremutik, eta ikusleen artean jesarrita zeuden Frederic Etcheverry eta Gloria Aras, elkarrengandik urrun. Hasierako lehen minutuak isiltasunean igaro ziren, lagunen arteko solasaldiak baretzen zihoazela. Denboraren jainkoari bere tartea eman ostean hasi zen performer bien ibilaldi mingarria, barne mina zelako bien aurpegiei, keinu neurtuei eta arnasari zerien materia.

The chairs of the Bilborock Hall were scattered on the grounds of the room, and Frederic Etcheverry and Gloria Aras were sitting among the public, separated from each other. The first minutes went silent, as the conversations between the spectators went out. After this offer to the God of the Time, the two performers started their painful way. At least "pain" was the most evident material in their face expressions, their messured gestures and their breathing.

Haiek, bitartean, behegainetik mugitzen ziren, bueltaka eta arrastaka, inolako testu, musika edota argi aldaketarik gabe, eta apurka-apurka aulkietako besoetatik eta zutik ere hasi ziren mugitzen, nahiz eta behin eta berriro behera -blaust!- jausten ziren.

On the meantime they moved to and fro, up and down and hauling around, without any text, musical or light effects. Slowly, they started to stay up from their chairs, they even started to move standing on their feet, althoug without any success: the would always fall down: blaust!

Zutik ibiltzeko, baina, jendearen laguntza behar zuten, eta orduan hasi zen denbora beste erritmo bat hartzen eta interpreteen barne egoeran aldaketa pozgarriago bat gertatzen.

In order to walk, they needed the collaboration of the public, and then the timing took a new rythme, with an apparently more cherfull mood from the actors.

Izen ere, ikusleen kolaborazioa ezinbestekoa izan zen prozesuaren garapenerako, eta, amaieran, interpreteek beraiek eskertu zuten haien jarrera aktiboa. Emanaldian zehar, ordea, baten bat -nekatuta edo- aretotik joan zen, eta ezin izan zuen azken emaitzarekin gozatu. Lastima!

As a matter of fact, the collaboration of the spectators was necessary for the development of the process, and the actors thanked for their active help. However, during the representation some of the public left their seats -tired, perhaps- and could not enjoy the final result... what a pitty!
