Elaine - Italiano

Postby Multiturquoise » 2015-01-26, 16:45

Hello! This is my own thread about Italian. I'll ask all my questions about Italian here.
Salve! Questo è il mio thread sull'italiano. Chiederò tutte le mie domande sull'italiano qui.

The victory will be ours. -> La vittoria sarà nostra.
Do you speak Italian? -> Tu parli italiano?
Why is your daughter watching Winx Club? -> Perché tua figlia sta guardando il Winx Club?
I will be happy. -> Sarò felice.
My tooth hurts. -> Il mio dente fa male.
It isn't difficult to learn the verb conjugations. -> Non è difficile imparare le coniugazioni dei verbi.
I think that men's lives are more difficult than women's lives. -> Penso che le vite degli uomini sono più difficili che le vite delle donne.

Aisling wrote:Do you speak Italian? -> Tu parli italiano? The pronoun is not usually necessary
My tooth hurts. -> Il mio dente fa male. "Mi fa male un dente" is more natural
I think that men's lives are more difficult than women's lives. -> Penso che le vite degli uomini sono siano più difficili che delle vite delle donne. In this way it is more normative
Fletto i muscoli e sono nel vuoto!
All corrections are welcome and appreciated.

We usually say fare domande (lit: "make questions") rather than chiedere domande
