What do the following phrases mean?

Ta ei teinud kuulmagi. (does this simply mean "she didn't listen", or "didn't pay attention", or "pretended not to hear"?)

What do the following phrases mean?

(The wind is making the surface of the water uneven, and I suppose the water is darkening because of the storm, or nightfall.)

We really have a lot of struggling [to do] with men.

Ta ei teinud kuulmagi. (does this simply mean "she didn't listen", or "didn't pay attention", or "pretended not to hear"?)

To pretend not to hear or to act as if you haven't heard.
Sometimes in English we might use "she didn't listen" or "she didn't pay attention" in those same contexts though. (Like, "I told her it was a bad idea but she didn't listen and did it anyway.")

It's raa; raade is the genitive plural. I'm not familiar with that word either, but I found it here:

You're right; Wiktionary translates raa as raaka / raakapuu, and that's the same beam you're talking about.
