I don't know if I've mentioned this before but I've long enjoyed reading Riina Kindlam's articles on Canada's Estonian World Review, especially the ones she writes in English explaining real-life language use in Estonia. They are quite short, but entertaining and often informative.
Here is one in which she explains the advertisement (reklaam) below.
Of course the normal morning greeting is Tere hommikust, and ummik or liiklusummik means a traffic jam. So here they have changed the greeting to Tere ummikust ("hello from the traffic jam") and invite people not to naudi värsket hommikueinet ("enjoy a fresh breakfast") but to naudi värsket ummikueinet ("enjoy a fresh gridlock meal") picked up at the gas station to be eaten while stuck in traffic.

Tänavalt / From the Street: (H)ommiku ummik

Appropriate for these summer evenings in general (and in the US, tonight's Independence Day celebrations in particular), here is another one in which she discusses words related to insects and insect repellents.

Stop the pirin, ease the kupp

Or since "Tere hommikust!" is supposedly the abbreviated form of "Tere hommikust aega!" (partitive of hommikune aeg), then "Tere ummikust!" could be interpreted the same way, and the time (or times) of the day when there are lots of traffic jams could be referred to as "ummikune aeg".

Ei oska öelda. Ei mäleta, et oleks temaga kunagi otse suhelnud, seega pole midagi enamat kuulnud.

Ju tal sai villand.

Huvitav, mida sellest arvate?

1.
Kõlamaalingud on tõepoolest üks eesti keele erijooni.

2.
Jaan Kaplinski on arvanud, et läänemeresoome keeled on kõige maailma keelte hulgas unikaalsed selle poolest, et neis on piiramatud võimalused improviseerimiseks kõlamaalingute vallas. See kihistus tuleb hästi nähtavale just vanemas keelekihis ja pärimustekstides. Eesti mõistatused ja vanasõnad on suurepärane allikas rahvakeelsete kõlamaalingute tudeerimiseks... Imeväärseid kõlamaalinguid võib leida just eesti vanemas mõistatustekihis, kus on hulgaliselt sõnu, mis võnguvad tähenduse ja tähendusetuse piiril.

3.
Kõige tähtsam on usk, et keel on oma olemuselt piiritu. Iseäranis tähendusrikkas on see uskumus isikliku keeletunnetuse taustal, sest läänemeresoome keelte kõnelejal on avatud keeleinstinkt, see tähendab, et sõnaloome tasandil puutud keel kokku lõpmatusega. Enamikus keeltes siseneb lõpmatuse element keelde alles lause tasandil, meil avaneb see keele muinasjutuline paleus juba sõnaloomes.... Eesti keel on huvitav selle poolest, et näiteks liitsõnade moodustamise hõlpsus loob juba sõna tasandil teatud assotsiatiivsuse, mis pole omane mitte keelele, vaid mõtlemisele.

This year's e-etteütlus:
2022. aasta e-etteütluse tulemused
The link has the winners at the top, and below that a video of the content of the contest, and then below that the text in written form.
The video on the left (with audio but no picture) is the actual contest which was originally part of the radio program (so no picture), and the one on the right is the version for hearing-impaired participants, which is spoken more slowly and with video for lip-reading.

(For those unfamiliar with this: e-etteütlus is an annual Estonian-language dictation contest which occurs on Estonia's Mother Tongue Day, which was last week.)

I'm curious, how many countries have such a contest? There's one in Ukraine as well.
