A hard translate from ESTONIAN to VÕRO for me

Postby calipso » 2009-10-01, 3:57

:( If there exists in Estonian language the word " friend " about male =

** Sõber

.... and about female =

** Sõbratar ( if it´s wrong please tell me )

PLEASE I need if someone can translate me friend ( male Estonian ) and friend ( female Estonian )
to Võro language. ( Please, in both cases, I need the translate of the meaning about "only friend" and not "boy or girl friend " )

According to this dictionary, sõber in võro is sõbõr or sõpr. There was no info about sõbratar or sõbranna, the female only versions, though. Luckily, sõber can be used for both male and female friends.

:) Thak U very much, s4nder. ( I thought, however, as Estonian and Võro are like " twins lenguages ", and Estonian language has - in the specific case of " friend " - , one translate for male and one different translate for female .......... )

Well, If u have any news ( may be if u know people from " Võru maakond " ) about this " problem " , please tell me .

By anyway, I thank for you
