Words of encouragement

Postby lyric » 2007-06-06, 11:52

Hello Estonian speakers,

Your help is needed to complete the list of words of encouragement: http://home.unilang.org/wiki3/index.php ... ouragement

i.e. words you say to yourself or others when trying to accomplish a hard task,
like for example learning a new language .

Examples: "You can make it.", "Go-ahead! ", "Go!"

How do you say in Estonian?

Thanks,
Lyric

Some suggestions by me:

Pane! (Put!)
Lase käia! (Let go!)
Sa saad hakkama küll! (You can make it!)
Tee ära! (Make it!)
Lähme! (Let's go!)
Tule! (Come!)
Edasi! (Go on!)
Ära muretse! (Don't worry!)
Pea püsti! (Head up!)

It depends so much on context actually...

Sure, it's just to get a feeling, how encouragements sound in different languages.

Thank you very much, I'll add them to the wiki,
