Tere! Minu nimi on Satu ja ma olen pool austraallane ja pool soomlane. Ma elan Australias.

Minu emakeel on inglese keel, kuid olen väga huvitatud on võõrkeeled. Enamasti ma räägin inglise keel, kuid mõnikord ma räägin soome keelt minu emaga.

Ma õpin Sydney Ülikoolis. Ma õpin ühiskonnateadused. Spetsialiseerun lingvistikale ja prantsuse keele.

Hello! I would appreciate any corrections to what I wrote ^. I'm studying from the book Colloquial Estonian in preparation for my stay in Tallinn this summer I'm finding the language very overwhelming - it is just close enough to Finnish to be familiar at times, but different enough so that I'm really confused, especially by the pronunciation (no vowel harmony! It feels really strange to pronounce a regular 'a' right after an 'ä'! I also have a lot of trouble with the vowel 'õ'.. could anyone suggest a way of pronouncing it?)

Some more very beginner questions:

What is the difference between üliõpilane and tudeng ('student')?

How could I write the third paragraph so it sounds more natural (I would like to be able to say 'I study social sciences at Sydney University' rather than using two sentences).. could I just say Ma õpin ühiskonnateadused Sydney Ülikoolis ?

Also would a vowel ('a'?) be added to 'Sydney' since it is in the genitive/possessive case?

What is the difference between üliõpilane and tudeng ('student')?

Basically they are synonymes, but tudeng is maybe slightly more colloquial and informal.
