I downloaded the 2009 paper and I am a bit puzzled.
The questions are offered both in Greek and translated in English, and the text comprehension questions are to be answered in English.
All my foreign language examinations were 100% in the language I was being examined. So, yeah, it's quite weird to see an exam paper which ...uhm... bilingual?

Same here. Especially the listening is quite puzzling - you listen to Greek conversations, then you need to answer questions in English and you don't get any points if you answer "in the wrong" language. Still very interesting to see such an approach.. For me it would be definitely easier to listen to Greek and write in Greek instead of switching a language.

I guess bilingual exams are a matter of preference. Back in my Junior Certificate Spanish final, the questions that were written in Spanish were to be answered in Spanish, and those written in English, obviously, were to be answered in English. I don't see how that's problematic, to be honest.

I registered at kypros.org a long time ago and I never got the email to confirm my registration. I even registered other accounts afterwards with different email adresses. I wrote to them and they never answered.
I hate them.

Το λεξικό Τριανταφυλλίδη προσδιορίζει για κάθε λέξη την κλίση της σαν Ο26 ή Ρ9. Θυμάμαι ότι είχε πίνακες αυτών των κλίσεων, αλλά τώρα δε μπορώ να τις βρω - οι προσδιορισμοί μόνο συνδέουν με λίστες όλων των λέξεων που κλίνονται ομοίως :( Που χάθηκαν οι πίνακες;

Τους βρίσκεις εδώ: http://www.greek-language.gr/greekLang/ ... index.html

Αλλά για τα περισσότερα ρήματα, πρέπει να γράψεις εσύ τη διεύθυνση της σελίδας, γιατί τα link δεν δουλεύουνε, π.χ. http://www.greek-language.gr/greekLang/ ... ko/r9.html για το Ρ9.

Δεν δουλεύει και το αυτό για μένα :( Είναι πιθανό ότι εμποδίζονται αυτές οι σελίδες έξω από την Ελλάδα;

Φαίνεται ότι ο σέβερ σου δίνει αυτόματα την αγγλική έκδοση της ιστοσελίδας όπου δεν υπάρχουν οι πίνακες. Αν πατήσεις στην μικρή ελληνική σημαία πάνω δεξιά για να σου δώσει την πλήρη, ελληνική έκδοση της σελίδας, οι πίνακες είναι όλοι εκεί

Neo-hellenic Grammar for Middle School Students, online HTML version

This is an up-to-date grammar reference book written by a team of linguists for use in Greek classrooms.
Intermediate learners should probably find the language in the book easy to follow.

http://mitsiakim.wix.com/morph-dict-komolex

This was recently released. It's a morphological dictionary of Cypriot Greek nouns and adjectives.
It's not the most usable site out there, for some reason the researches use a free hosting service and basically they link to single-page pdf files.

But it's good that some people did the hard job of identifying the conjugation paradigms.

To be honest I thought the most accepted classification of Tsakonian was a Koine variant with Doric influences. But I haven't looked much intro mainland Greek varieties to have an informed opinion.

This is an excellent course in Katharevousa, and is what my teacher and I are using as our main text. It is entirely in Greek, and was designed for children, so the language is easy to understand. The main site contains many other schoolbooks with varying subject matter, and the search features are quite advanced. For those, like me, who use a screen reader, all of these are in photo-scanned pdfs, so cannot be read without sighted assistance. My teacher writes out the lessons and sends them to me as rtfs, since the polytonic system made them virtually impossible to scan with ocr software. We are also using "Γραμματικὴ Τῆς Νέας Ἑλληνικής Γλῶσσης ((Τῆς Ἁπλῆς Καθαρευούσης)" by Ἀχιλλέας Τζάρτζανος (not available at the below site) as supplementary material.

http://e-library.iep.edu.gr/iep/collect ... 112&tab=01

EasyAccent is the program that I use to write in polytonic. I am providing both the original site as well as another one where I located the file. The original no longer works, but perhaps, it can be accessed via the Way Back machine at archive.org, which is not working with my screen reader today. For those new to polytonic, they mention Biblical (Coine) Greek, but that can be ignored for those of us learning a modern form and still using the full system. I am not sure if the version at Software Informer is the latest one.

A long time coming, the Practical dictionary of the Modern Greek Language by the Academy of Athens was released as a freely accessible website: https://christikolexiko.academyofathens.gr/index.php

It joins Dictionary of Standard Modern Greek and Historical Dictionary of the Modern Greek Language of the Academy of Athens.

The last reference dictionary still missing is that from Babiniotis, which remains behind a paywall.

The Practical Dictionary boasts a long list of innovations, and one of them that caught my eye is of course:
Lemma recording of many words and meanings known mainly from Cyprus.

This is the first time that a dictionary of Standard Modern Greek has included words that are chiefly used in Cypriot variant Standard Modern Greek - mainly form the Cypriot public administration and legal system.
