我的看法不一樣。我個人認為,「我是好翻譯」 其實是比較優美的中文。

TIL the Uyghur pilaf is named polu. Never heard 抓饭, only 手抓饭.

I think 离异 is used more often like an adjective, to imply that someone's status is divorced. While the verb to divorce is 离婚.
repeatedly, constantly, continuously, incessantly, nonstop = 不住

:hmm:
According to this, all examples it gives are form old literature.

Do you know their differences, Vijay?

I think so. My understanding is that 某些 refers to a clearly defined (though small and indefinite) set of things, whereas 一些 is just an indefinite pluralizer. If I say 我只吃某些甜品, it's implied that I'm thinking of a specific set of items (but I haven't specified what those items are). If I say 我吃一些甜品, I'm not necessarily talking about any specific items; it's possible that I ate some sweets just now, am eating other ones right now, and will eat yet another set of sweets later.

I don't know whether that makes any sense. :silly:

Well, in Practical Chinese Reader III, lesson 2, they use it in this sentence:
布朗夫妇吃着哈密瓜, 尝着葡萄干, 不住地说: “真甜! 真甜!”

You are correct; 一些 = a trifle of, a few, while 某些 = certain.

And, 不住地 is elegant chinese and can still be understood, but Oldboring is right; in modern Chinese we more often use 不停地, at least.in Taiwan, as I know.
