我学那门课快十年了。

In English "uncle" can mean:
1. father's older brother
2. father's younger brother
3. father's sister's husband
4. mother's brother
5. mother's sister's husband

Chinese kinship terminology is hard because the Chinese kinship system is a Sudanese kinship system, but Malayalam kinship terminology is even harder.

Chinese kinship terminology is hard because the Chinese kinship system is a Sudanese kinship system, but Malayalam kinship terminology is even harder.

The Dr. Google Translator said:
中國的親屬稱謂是困難的,因為中國的親屬制度是蘇丹親屬制度,但馬拉雅拉姆語親屬稱謂更是難上加難。

My practice:
中國人稱親道戚,是有點難上手,原因呢,用的是蘇丹親屬系統。不過啊,要說到Malayalam系統,親戚間的稱呼,要上手就更難了。

"How hard is it? Is it harder than two young lovers deciding to live togehter in a small suite, where they need to jam in their separate furniture?"
"Well, I think it's much more like... when a couple decide to say goodbye after living together for ten years and need to move out with their separate processions and feelings."

“到底有多难?比起一对年轻的情侣决定同居在一个小套房,还得挤进他门各自的家具,还难吗?”
”其实,我觉得更像……一对情侣在一起生活了10年后,决定彼此告别,因为需要带着自己的追求和情感一块搬出去。

(Is this your sentence wanted to be translated?)

Azhong's practice: 翻譯我不行...

Yes, I agree too you are handling Chinese better. Go ahead!

Just a small comment, but my understanding to this sentence first. Robert was late for his wedding ceremony. He excused that he's got drunk. Am I right?
Usually we say in Chinese someone 遲到; we will NOT say something or some event 遲到. Thus, in your sentence 婚期迟到 sounds a bit confussing to me.
One way to improve it is to add a 你 somewhere to link 遲到, and then some other correspondent movements to smooth your sentence. I leave this effort to you, and expect you can approach Chinese nearer after this effort.
婚期 might also be not appropriate here. Difficult to me to explain why. Perhaps Pangu or Youngfun can. Anyway, 結婚當天 might work.結婚典禮(wedding ceremony) or just 結婚 might work better. It depends on how your new sentence changes.
Also, do not use this function jiantizi again. It caused Youngfun inconvenience when he comments your post. He said it once.

I think 婚期 doesn't work because it's short fo 结婚日期, i.e. wedding date.

我不知道是不是大概差不多接近正常的中文句式。 :?:

We should only write easy sentences here.

大概 and 差不多 are synonyms. Just either one is enough.
(But honest to say, strictly speaking, your sentence is not good and natural, even after my correction. It sounds to me not like Chinese. I do not know how to rewrite it so far, either, so I decided just to provide my basic suggestions above.)

这里我们应该仅仅写容易的句子。

I don't want to talk to my ex-girlfriend because I don't like her anymore.
