The Sinking Greece has a new transitional captain, for now. But it's pretty hopeless, still, since his senior crew members are still the old breed and they will eventually help him sink the ship anyway. Oh, and don't forget - many of the passengers here, especially those with close links to the maritime industry (real-world hint: public servants of various sorts) are still pretty sure it is all the other ships and their passengers that are to blame for the fact that Greece's screws and bolts were melted faulty and stolen by the ship's crew members and even appropriated for granted by those same passengers...

A late reply, but indeed Greece showed us true satire; well at least Papandreou did with his ridiculous proposal to hold a referendum.

Referenda are meant for those moments that a people has a choice between a number of options. The Greeks don't really have any options left. They can accept our money or they can go bankrupt and turn into some kind of a 3rd world country. I guess the latter isn't really an option anyone fancies.
