Interesting. Fucked up, but interesting.

Partisan wrote:Hitler hated more the communists than the jews.

Hitler was a quasi-communist himself right immediately after WWI, so I doubt his anti-communist policies had anything to do with genuine resentment against that ideology. Besides, come on - it was the early 20th century, any progressive or 'different' thinker or activist was essentially a communist sympathiser. It was only the ones who failed in their efforts, that they became 'commie-hating' opportunists looking for new ways to win votes.

Yeah, but then again I love willies. Sure I could pretend not to, but a life without sex is pretty boring. (And having secret encounters with other fellowmen would get me paranoid thinking that they might be traps).

Or you could simply pretend to be Jewish to increase your survival rate in the camp, à la Bent.

Meanwhile I would have been dying a totally unsexy death from Japan-caused starvation.

C'mon now, that's just repugnant isn't it? The thing is set in the eighties!

Basically anything that wasn't his idealized vision of the 'Aryan race.'

Again, given that his driver was a Ruhr Pole and the soldier pictured on every Wehrmacht poster as the 'perfect Aryan man' was a quarter-Jew, I wouldn't use phrases like 'he definitely hated x and y'. He was playing along with the sentiments, ignoring things when they turned out inconveniently.

I used the terms 'definitely seemed' thus I'd like to think that I didn't mean his hatred was absolute.

Interesting. Excuse my asking, but are you a part of a formalized religion?

Talib wrote:Gnostic atheist. Take that!

I suspect that was meant as a joke. (Hence KingHarvest's post right after)
But the notion fascinates me.

Yes, but I actually am one.

Well if I understand the concept well enough, you believe there is no god, and you believe there is proof, correct?
I was referencing the proof that one would use as being fascinating.
Of course all of this (thread) depends on one's definition of 'god.'

Any kind of deity, and it's not proof in the physical sense; I believe it can be inferred.
