綴れど? 慕へど?

Postby Lumekuninganna » 2013-01-07, 21:20

I found these two words in a song I was translating - what do they mean? Or is it some kind of particle/grammar/etc I'm not aware of?

Here are the verses with the words in context:

塗りつぶした 宇宙(そら)は高く
夢を綴れど 流れ墜ちてしまう
眠れ深く 海のように
されど波は ここには届かない

花に命 清らかさに
誰を慕(おも)へど 散り行くのが運命(さだめ)
せめて魂(こころ) 此処に残し
古(いにしえ)へと 風に揺れる景色

I can find the kanji roots just fine, but I don't understand what's following them.

Please help, thanks! :)

これは古文の已然形ではないか?

この場合、「~(へ)ど」は「けれど」と同じ意味である?

自信をもって言えないけど、已然形+接続助詞「ど」だと思う。
