Quick question about a translation

Postby Bjoernie » 2011-10-20, 16:57

Hey all,

For a project I'm working on at the moment, I would like to know the Japanese translation for 'Good luck', like when you want to encourage someone when he's gonna start a match or something.

I've searched as far as I can, but so far I've found 'kentou' and 'guddorakku', but different translators give different translations of these words and some don't even come close to what I actually mean.

So if someone you translate this for me (preferable to kanji, otherwise to hiragana or romaji), I would be very grateful.

This is quite an easy translation, the appropriate phrase would be 頑張って(下さい) - Ganbatte(kudasai). (The bracketed part makes it more formal).
