And here I am busting into the thread with some English.

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good beginner/intermediate level dictionary. I'd prefer one that uses kana rather than romaji.
Japanese <>English, in case it's not obvious.

Didn't want to make a new thread just for a question.

I'm sorry, I'm more familiar with Japanese-French dictionaries. :) I think I have never used any dictionary with English in it when I study Japanese.

Perhaps another member can help you.

If you need online dictionaries, there are many though. For example :

http://www.nihongodict.com/

It's a great one.

I use http://jisho.org/ for single word checks, or http://www.alc.co.jp/ for checking sentence structures or phrases/idioms.

I suppose I should have said I was looking for a print dictionary. But thanks for the links, I'll keep them on file.

Question dico français-japonais/japonais-français, tu pourrais m'en recommander un, au cas où. :) (Je commence à sérieusement envisager de m'attaquer au japonais.)

 Ouiiii Kenny se met au japonais !

Le meilleur dictionnaire francais-japonais est le Royal bien entendu. Tu peux le trouver en edition de poche aussi .

Pour apprendre les caracteres chinois (kanji) :

http://www.maisonneuve-adrien.com/descr ... manuel.htm
