Where to start learn romanian?

Postby pauluszk » 2011-12-30, 10:23

Salut!
So, I need a second learnt language next to the English. My family is from Romania, since my father, our family haven't lived there, but my grandfather was romanian.Lot of my relatives speak romanian but a don't, and I begrudge they this. Another reason of me is, that at home I have a romanian TV channel with lot of romanian clips and can understand nothing, but sounds lovely for me...Fortunately near to me, there are a lot of native speakers, so I already have an area to prove it.And somewhere I have a Romanian language book for starters:).

I know that in this language there are many many slavic words...I have learnt crotian for 8 years at the elementary school.Unfortunately I didn't success in crotian, but it caused a minimal slavic word base, what I have found in the romanian too.

So my questions are:
-How difficult is the Romanian for a hungarian on zero level? (Spoken languages are just, the Hungarian and the English)
-Where shall I start it? (Free online courses, pages etc.)
-How much time does it usually need for somebody to get to comparetive level?

Thx, for al answers.

To be honest I can`t tell you for sure how long is going to take until you`re going to be able to speak romanian...BUT nothing is hard when you have ambition&(enough time,of course).

We have some common things when it comes to spelling like "ţ" for your "ferenC"( sorry for the example) and so on.

You should begin with the grammar.I`m not saying that you should learn all our grammar(even some romanian natives don`t know our grammar),but the basic tenses and after this, just use your book so you can learn some basic words too...

Do you people use to use twitter in romaniosphere? Do you AEdle have an account I can follow? (that's the way I start to learn languages related to mine, if I find them easy enough to read small texts)
