Short translation needed

Postby Tomcat » 2006-02-28, 11:53

Could anybody translate me these two sentences?

"X has entered the room"
"X has left the room"

Please mark or explain which words stand for "the room".

Thanks a lot in advance!

"X has entered the room"
"X has left the room"

If the X is masculine:
X vstoupil do místnosti (pokoje). - or - X vešel do místnosti (pokoje).
X odešel z místnosti (pokoje). - or - X opustil místnost (pokoj).

If the X is feminine:
X vstoupila do místnosti (pokoje). - or - X vešla do místnosti (pokoje).
X odešla z místnosti (pokoje). - or - X opustila místnost (pokoj).

If the X is neuter:
X vstoupilo do místnosti (pokoje). - or - X vešlo do místnosti (pokoje).
X odešlo z místnosti (pokoje). - or - X opustilo místnost (pokoj).

The "room" is translated in this case as pokoj, místnost. I've used verbs vstoupit and vejít.

Thanks a lot for your help! I needed this for a chat I've been setting up, I want the messages in as many languages as possible. So what would be:

X has entered the chat

X has left the chat

Thanks again for your help,

Since this is rather variable because I'd probably use different expressions regarding the place and step (to log in = zalogovat se, to enter the chat room i.e. to read the posts = vstoupit do chatové místnosti, to start chatting i.e. to send posts = zapojit se do diskuze etc.) of this sentence's appearance, I'd ask you to specify your request.
