Yes but it doesnʼt apply in this case as the o in врачом is stressed anyway (as there are a few words changing their stress between the stem and the ending)

I really hope I don’t talk rubbish ^^ It’s what my grammar book says. :o

No, you don't talk rubbish.
It is Russian orthography that's a bit tricky in this regard.

There isn't much more to it than is already mentioned in the video description, but alright...

Christoph: President Putin, in 1914 part of Ukraine belonged to Austria.
Putin: What is that supposed to mean? What suggestions do you have?
Christoph: It means that today, 100 years later, Ukraine became a part...
Putin: I am already scared of what he is about to say.

Hi guys,
Does his accent sound native to you?

He sounds native, with a regional touch (Ukrainian probably? I'm not sure).

It seems to me that he's not Ukrainian, he probably lived outside of Russia for quite a lot of time. I would say he has touch of American English accent and his phrases are not too natural. Something foreign definitely exists in his language.

:hmm: Isn't it the way Russians speak in Brighton Beach? I think it's similar to the accent they have in Odessa. Idk it doesn't sound foreign to me, it sounds native enough.

And what do you think about his intonation? It struck me that in (almost?) all his question the intonation goes up in the end, while I learned that it should go down.

Anyone know where I can find complete transcripts of interviews in Russian? I'm interested mainly in interviews with Grigory Leps that are on youtube.

Apparently he was born in Russia and raised in Odessa.

What's the difference between сейчас and щас. A friend of mine is using the latter a lot. :)
Is it more vernacular?

щас - that's how you pronounce сейчас. Many people are lazy to write properly in the internet that's how щас was born... So, please write сейчас.

And many, including me, even pronounce it that way, or even ща.

Ща sounds kinda rude to me, though among friends I think it's ok. Btw older generations say this word as it's written - сейчас.

"Щас" is a colloquial and a bit rude form of the word "сейчас".
Sometimes щас may also have the opposite to its regular meaning, it may mean "never" or "surely not". Usually in this case the speaker would pronounce a long sound "a" (щааас).

For example:
-Will you marry me?
-Dream on!

Here in this dialog "dream on" can be translated as "щас".

Are ")" how Russians write ":)" in their text messages?
Par exemple, l'enfant croit au Père Noël. L'adulte non. L'adulte ne croit pas au Père Noël. Il vote.
