Russian soaps, PG movie and the sort

I find watching TV soaps and easy-to-watch movies very good to help with listening skills. Especially soaps are quite good, as the stories tend to be simple and repetitive so, even if I can't understand the lot, I can follow the story and little by little understand new words, also looking at body language and lip reading helps a lot.

Basically, I would like to pick your brains see if you have any names of series and movies, and if you know of any interesting link to Russian TV online.

I can't say that I'm a fan of soap operas, but I know the most popular ones, I guess that in some Russian movie on-line shops you can find them on DVD.

Бригада - series about mafia in 80s-90s, but it's a great film, the most popular one in Russia

Не родись красивой - a true soap opera and I watched it Story about really ugly girl who gets a position in a good company, falls in love with her boss who is engaged, try to guess what was in next series This soap opera was really popular.

Бедная Настя - this soap opera is for those who likes 19th century and Emperial Russia, because this movie is about that time, it's beautifully made, but plot is quite ordinary, nothing special.

I hate all those soap operas nowadays but when I was a teenager, in the early 90's, Mexican soap operas and the famous Santa Barbara vere extremely popular in them ex-Soviet Union, and I watched them with great interest.
But times change, now I can't watch all those Бригада, Не родись красивой, Моя прекрасная няня and so on.
As for Не родись красивой it's really an international soap opera, original version was Colombian if I'm not mistaken, and then different countries including Russia made their own versions.

I would love to see all of them though, just to see how they were like (I heard about them in a course about Russian mass media ). When I'll have time I'll try out those links.

This post is a little bit old, but I am interested in improving my level of Russian watching some series. I have Netflix, and I am currently watching a series that is called "Sparta". If lately you have watched anything else, or if you know about some popular Russian series, it would be great to have some suggestions.

A few years ago, I started watching this movie, which is called Домоправитель (The Housekeeper). It has subtitles in English, so I figured it might help me improve my Russian in some way. I never actually finished watching it, though. (I was also watching a Turkish Cypriot movie. I never finished watching that, either):
