Bom Dia means hello?

I think Bom Dia is Portuguese, but I'm not sure. I don't remember where I heard this phrase or what language it is from. I don't know if the phrase is spelled Bomdia. :oops:

Someone please correct me.

Yeah, that's Portuguese and means, literally: "good day". In Brazil, at least, its usage is more restrict to the morning though, so you could more propperly translate that as "good morning".
