Help w/ID and translation, Serbian Cyrillic Cursive

Postby bbriley » 2019-09-07, 12:09

Looking for help in identifying this and/or translation of the message carved at the top. I think it is Serbian Cyrillic Cursive. The item is wooden and approximately 4 feet wide. I think it has a relation to stecak/stecci. Possibly used in funerary ritual? Circa 14th-16th century CE.

This is definitely not Cyrillic script. It is Cursive Latin. However, it is difficult for me to make out what it says.

Looks like
"Me" or "Ne" - "slse?"
"Altino bonito" ?

Looks like something Romance to me. :hmm:
