Ok, I'll start.

- SerbianSchool.com - http://www.serbianschool.com/

A very good site for learning Serbian. It was even reviewed in Babel Babble № 5. Do I need to say more? :P

- The Krstarica Dictionary - http://www.krstarica.com/dictionary/

A serbian<>english and german<>english dictionary. I can't say I'm satisfied with it much, but it the best online. ;)

- Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian (BCS) Reference Grammar
http://seelrc.org:8080/grammar/pdf/stand_alone_bcs.pdf

The best online grammar of serbian in english, I highly recomend it. :)

I have more, but these are the most essential ones, and they should be in the first post. ;)

Keep them coming. :)

I don't know, if it's useful here, if not, remove it, Bugi, since you are the moderator of the group. ;)

http://www.calsky.com/lexikon/de/txt/k/ky/kyrillisches_alphabet.php

Here is a general overview of the different Cyrillic writing systems used by various languages. Although the text is in German, the charts might be interesting.

No, it's great, and here's a similar page on Wikipedia too. ;)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyrillic#M ... th_century

More about the Serbian alphabets

The Omniglot page - http://www.omniglot.com/writing/serbo-croat.htm
The Serbian Cyrillic Alphabet - http://www.geocities.com/bugarinb/serbian/azbuka.JPG
The Serbian Latin Alphabet - http://www.geocities.com/bugarinb/serbian/azbuka.JPG

A Javascript-based program for Cyrillics<->Latin conversion - http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/user/aveselin ... vucko.html (it's not perfect though :P)

http://larisaz.home.texas.net/serbian_grammar.htm
A page with some (very good) PDF files about Serbian grammar. :)

And for Guillem,

Diccionario básico español-serbio - http://beomundhis.grf.bg.ac.yu/48.html
Diccionario básico serbio-español - http://beomundhis.grf.bg.ac.yu/49.html

(They're crap. Taken from a book I had to 'study' from last year, but anyway, it's not bad to mention it. ;))

Although I doubt many people around here would care for it ;), here's a link to an online version of the Serbian Bible:

http://biblija.info/biblija.htm

There are actually two versions of it, in Ekavian and Jekavian Serbian.

And I wonder if there's something from http://www.public.asu.edu/%7Edsipka/SYL1.HTM that can be useful, and that doesn't have any flaws or something.

Oh, and Bugi, do you know if the Serbian verbs section from Logos (at http://www.verba.org/owa-verb/verba_dba.verba_main.create_lang_page?lang=SR&total_verb=5606) is reliable?

Well, I can't check everything there. It surely has a lot of material, though :)

Well, again I can't check every verb, but it seems ok except for the fact that on my comp I see ї instead of ђ, ћ, љ, њ and џ. But it's possible that that is the fault of my browser(s) only. :?

I tried it with Firefox and with IE and I tried several character encodings but I have the same problem. :(

Psi, can you see the letters?

їs

by Psi-Lord
Hmmm, indeed. They appear just fine on the index page, but in the conjugation pages themselves (or even when you just see the list of verbs under a given letter), it's just їs. And since the pages are on Unicode, it must've been some mistake right when encoding them.

It seems that you'll just have to guess which verb it is... :P

I use

http://www.goethe-verlag.com/tests/

to test my vocabularly and grammar. Click on your language's flag and you should be able to find 100 phrase and word tests for Serbian (and other languages too.)

Also, have a look at

http://www2.serbiancafe.com/lat/evropa/

My textbook is Teach Yourself Serbian available from Amazon.. it was written by my teachers. It gives a solid foundation in grammar and vocab (no, I'm not being paid to say that!)

I use the ESSE dictionary and grammar published by The Insititute for Foreign Languages - Belgrade their website is http://www.isi.co.yu. It's new (2005) and up to date and comes on CD too. Doesn't tell you the cases or stress but is still pretty good.

Sorry about the repeated posting but I just discovered that if you go to

http://www.isj.co.yu/ESSE/ESSEE.htm#

you will find the online version of the dictionary I have. It's Serbian-English and English-Serbian and you'll need to register.

I wrote Strigo as username and hit 'New Student', and it seemed to log in just fine here.

I didn't know I had to write my username before getting the membership.

Well, be more specific... what kind of an error message does it give? Maybe the username you entered already exists.. or it's your cookies or something.

And for me it does work on all of browsers, VatrenaLisica (FireFox) included. :P
