1st linguistic description (sketch) of modern Zagreb Croatian speech:

It's in Croatian, unfortunately,
but you can get the general idea even if your knowledge of the language is scarce.

Here in Rijeka we also use the nonstokavian accent, and stokavian is used expressively:


ne 'volim. = I don't like it
'ne volim. = I hate it.

:)
but there's some leveling:

Standard:

ne' mogu = I can't
'ne mogu = They can't

in Zagreb both are: 'ne mogu
in Rijeka both are: ne 'mogu

(but in Rijeka we're more likely to use: ne 'moren for I can't)
