What the hell, inspired by this list, yet another answer-and-ask game. Y'all know the drill by now.

The last thing you read with a female protagonist.

A short story whose title and author I can't remember. It was about a telepathic alien pig. But if I have to mention something of which I remember the title and author, I think I'll have to say The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. F. Baum.

The last thing you read set in the Middle Ages.

I know Ciarán already beat me to it, but still, I answered this question, so I figure I might as well post it anyway. :P

Well, that would be both of the last two novels I read. The one I finished last was Malagal by E. M. Kovoor, but shortly before that, I finished Chemmeen by Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai, and I was reading both of them in tandem. Multiple people die in each of those novels, and they include the protagonist (or at least one of the protagonists, in the case of Malagal).
The last thing you read set in the Middle Ages.

That would probably be The Man Who Counted by Malba Tahan.

The last thing you read that you wish you hadn't.

O Jerusalem by La Pierre and Collins, because it was fucking boring.

The last thing you read that had a protagonist (or at least a character with a relevant role) with a mental disorder.

Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel. (IIRC, it was poorly-prepared stockfish.)

That last thing you read which was narrated in a child's voice.

Insurgent by Veronica Roth. She may be over sixteen, but Tris is still her mother's child ;)

The last thing you read that followed no particular storyline, but still fictional (like a "survival guide" or something).

Probably Сказки и картинки by V. Sutyeyev, a collection of children's stories translated from Russian into Malayalam (probably via English, but they don't say that :P) by Mrs. Unnikrishnan, Mavathu Prabhakaran, and Cherukulam Parameswaran.

The last thing you read whose author is not well known outside their country of origin.
