I really like that site. I managed to complete my 2012 Goodreads challenge, but I haven't been active there since last month because of illness and trying to get back to my languages. But I'll be reading this year--have my HUGE to-read pile left over from last year (and the year before, and the year before that) to get to.
Here's my profile (you need to be a Goodreads user to see it): http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/6915194-cade

Update: I've deleted my Goodreads account.

I'm both on dizzie.nl and goodreads and I like them both for different reasons. With goodreads I like that you can choose editions and the reading progress stuff, I like dizzie because it's Dutch and has a nice blog function.

I'm very active on Goodreads.. probably too active. I love finding new topics to study within computer science / linguistics / philosophy / etc. from fellow learners.

I've accepted your request!

I have never added all the books I own or have read, that would be too much work. I just mention what I'm reading and that's all :)

Thanks!

I actually wanted to use the QR code scan, but the Nexus 7 isn't really suitable for that as it only has a camera at the front. I tried, but it simply wouldn't recognise the code. :(

I love goodreads. The groups, lists and recommendation system are absolutely amazing and I have found a lot of new, interesting books I wouldn't know about otherwise. And looking at my growing "read" list I feel smart :D
I'm trying to do the 2013 challenge; I've decided to read 60 books. I'm doing good so far, I think.

A friend suggested the site to me and I have, methinks, around 700 books read and another 300 in the to-read list.

I'm gonna have to say no, simply because it sounds so fun and I'd waste dickloads of time on it. I've rejected the likes of World of Warcraft, Minecraft, and TVTropes membership for the same reason.

Joined it a couple hours ago and then found this thread just now. I put on what I remembered reading (and enjoying) for the past few years, as well as a couple series (Series of Unfortunate Events and Harry Potter) from my childhood that I enjoyed simply to bolster my number of read books. I have a weird taste in books and don't enjoy fiction all that much.
I sent friend requests to a few of y'all.

I love the fact that Goodreads recommends me books based on my book list. What I don't like is that they need to expand their "archives". I have plenty of books which I couldn't add to my shelf because they're unknown to the site, whereas I've never had such problems with Anobii.

You do realize you can add your own books right? You enter title, author, etc.

I know, but it would be fucking long to add 50-ish books in that way.
