Would you like to be able to go back in the past ?

Un dragon d'or à qui me débarrasse des moustiques !

A golden dragon to anyone who gets rid of mosquitos.

I don't know whether the golden dragon is a real coin or you really mean the mythological animal.

As far as I know, it's not a piece of change but a certificate.

Trim my hips with an axe; I ate too much chocolate.

Regarde ! Cet ours polaire est en feu !

Watch out! This polar bear is on fire!

When I'm alone and get a chance to dream, I dream that I am in your arms, I dream of whispering a declaration in your ear.

[That translation's a bit loose, but the more direct options sounded forced.]

It was just after the death of my husband that I learned that, as children, we went to the same primary school.

Everything you want is on the Champs-Elysées.

If I told you what really happened, you wouldn't believe me.

This afternoon, everybody ate what you wanted, except celery.

I'd rather think: Tonight, we're eating anything you want except celery.

Mathematicians are robots that turn coffee into theorems.

Do you know how to plant cabbages, the way we do in our home?

If my aunt's cat wrote with the green pen I had bought last week, my dog would sing it a love song and cook it fish.

Without you, today's emotions would be but dead skin of the emotions long-gone. I kinda tried being lofty here, for better or worse.

The voice of blood is the strongest, and so are the bloodlines.

The night under the black stars is so strange, the moons spinning around the sky at dusk are so strange, but yet Carcosa is stronger.
(I don't really know if I can imitate the French construction by starting sentences with "So strange..." :hmm: what do natives reckon?)

You can, it's just poetic (like in French, right?) Here's my quick attempt at a poetic translation:

So strange is the night beneath the black stars, and so strange are the moons spinning/turning in the evening sky, but stranger still is Carcosa.

I hate girls that leave their boyfriend for a guy with more money. It's so superficial!
