help needed for translation

Someone wrote me a handwritten note in Hebrew into my journal,
and now I'd really like to know what it says.

Hey you,
There is much I'd have written you, in another time, and another place, when perhaps even we ourselves would be others/different, though probably not.
And then and there too I probably wouldn't have to say anything, and probably couldn't anyway, and you, you would have anyway understood.
So even here, in this time and place, I wouldn't dare write anything, but trust instead that here and now too you understand.

I feel I got my conditionals wrong.
Anyway, the original reads better than my clumsy translation. It is cute.
