Hi
In Barron's 501 Hebrew Verbs there are many verbs with 2 present tense forms in pa'al binyan.
E.g.
קונה, קונה, קונים, קונות
and
קנוי, קנויה, קנויים, קנויות
Could someone explain the difference to me, please. Preferably with examples...
תודה לכם

Examples:
the floor is שטופה, because sb washed it שטף
the table is set ערוך, because sb set it ערך
These statal passives have three forms: Pa'ul (סגור) Mefu'al (מבושל) and Muf'al (מודאג).
You can also see the correlation between these and Huf'al and Pu'al, that in present from serve as statal passives.
