I guess, unless I translate that myself, this thread goes dead.
So here we go:

I’m sick to death of being treated like a second class citizen. At the local pub, they managed to squeeze a cool 10 euros out of me just for one beer – it was a daylight robbery. And to be honest, the attitude of the staff is beyond me, but I suppose they’re badly treated so they just take it out on the customers.

נמאס לי לחלוטין שמתיייחסים אליי כאל אזרח סוג ב'. בפאב המקומי הם הצליחו לסחוט ממני עשרה יורו בשביל בירה אחת - זה היה שוד לאור היום. ולמען האמת, הגישה של הצוות לגמרי לא ברורה לי, אבל אני מניח שמתייחסים אליהם גרוע אז הם פשוט מוציאים את זה על הלקוחות.

I hate it that Schrödinger used a cat as an example, so I left the previous sentence to someone else... anyway, your self-translation is correct :)

אני שונא ששרדינגר השתמש בחתול כמו משל אז עזבתי את המשפט הקודם למישהו אחר... בכל מקרה התרגום העצמי שלך הוא נכון.

Economists are the oracles of our society, they use more sophisticated instruments than those of Ancient Greece but their goal is the same: foresee the future.

כלכלנים הם הנביאים של החברה שלנו, הם משתמשים בכלים יותר מתוחכמים מאלה של יוון העתיקה אבל מטרתם זהה: לחזות את העתיד.

I have a feeling that my last translation doesn't sound quite kosher.

אין טעם להשלות את עצמנו ברעיון שיכולה להיות איזושהי טעות או רמאות.

Your translations turned out very good! 8-) Just one comment each:

"נוהם" means to growl and sounds rather hostile...

Just a couple of missing words.

בֶּאֱמֶת הִגִיעַ הַזְמַן שֶאֶשִׂיג אֶחָד מֵאוֹתָם שוֹאֲבֵי אָבָק רוֹבּוֹטִיִים.

I thought the assumptions on which this theory is based were irrefutable and no one could doubt their validity. So you can only imagine that I shook my head in disbelief when I learned that the reality was inconceivably more complex than this theory suggested.

חשבתי שההנחות עליהן מבוססת התיאוריה הזאת אינן ניתנות להפרכה ואף אחד לא יכול להפקפק באמיתותן. אז אתם יכולים רק לתאר לעצמכם שטלטלתי את ראשי בחוסר-אמון כששמעתי שהמציאות מסובכת בצורה שלא תיאמן יותר ממה שהתיאוריה הזאת גורמת לחשוב.

Dogs' sight is weaker than human sight, but their sense of smell is estimated to be one hundred thousand to one million times stronger than ours. (now let's see you spell out the numbers! )

Wouldn't you rather use לְהַקִיש instead of לָגַעַת?

הַשָבוּעַ סוֹף סוֹף הִצְלַחְתִי לְהַעֲבִיר אֶת בַּקָשָתִי לְדַרְכּוֹן פּוֹלָנִי (כְּלוֹמַר שֶהַשַׁגְרִירוּת נַעֲנָה לְבַקָשָתְךָ?). הוּא יִהְיֶה מוּכָן בְּאַפְּרִיל...

What struck me perhaps most of all was the total lack of sympathy and compassion on his part.

Yes (except that שגרירות is feminine so it should be נענתה).

מה שאולי הכה אותי בהלם* יותר מכל היה חוסר הסימפטיה והחמלה המוחלט מצדו.
*Quite possibly not the best translation, maybe this is what happens when you have two native languages and have an exact "feel" about the meaning of a certain expression but just can't phrase it properly.
