Yes, but I assumed there could had been a major difference if you were much younger than I am, yet assumed it wan't possible because your English is very good and, well, I don't suppose younger kids go on sites like UniLang.
You're right though, I think there was quite a remarkable development in our generation when it comes to English. The last generations were usually quite poor in English.
