Help translating this note

Postby SImon Gray » 2009-10-12, 8:23

I got a Korean girlfriend recently and have started learning a bit of Korean (what are some good resources that don't just teach you formal Korean, BTW?). She left me this note - I can read her name, but I'm unsure how to translate the rest.

Thank you!

좋은 아침, Simon!

좋은 아침! = Good morning!

I guess 시내 is her name.

None comes to mind, offhand ... let me think about it and get back to you... in any case, you should start by learning how to read the Korean script. Start here with the vowels (they haven't gotten around to the consonants it seems): VOWELS. That site shows you how to write them, how to pronounce them (audio and video) and has practice exercises to make sure you got it! :yep:

Here's another good place to begin: KBS Let's Learn Korean

Junesun's lessons are also very good: Junesun's site

Check them all out!
Good luck. :)

Thank you very much for the swift reply! :-) will check all of those out. Hopefully, this won't be my last post on the Korean board.
