Old English

Supposedly Old Norse and Old English were mutually intelligible. Can Icelanders understand any Old English?

Well, surely far from 100%, but they do understand it much better than today's Anglo-Saxes. I heard stories that some 300 years ago Icelanders were asked to assist in translating of Old English texts, pretty much like they were doing with Old Norse stuff in Scandinavia at the time. I'm not sure these are real stories though, but they seem to be quite possible.
