Jeg lær
te nogle
blomstrende nye ordforråd ord i dag
for hel
vede (for hell)— dammit
(dit) røvhul— asshole (røv = ass)
(dit) svin— pig (cognate with "swine" I presume)
lort— s***, crap (I'll assume "crap" too, because lort is just the more colloquial version of "afføring." It's also apparently the most common word for it in everyday speech)
Hvordan
er "rend mig" = "f*** you"?? Betyder "rende" ikke "run"
?
Blomstrende is pretty much only used to describe plants.
Ordforråd is only used about vocabulary/lexicon in a more 'general' sense (e.g.
drengen har et stort ordforråd). When referring to a specific group of words, use
ord instead.
Rend originally meant to run, but it's not really used in that sense any more. A better translation would be "walking or exploring in an improvised or unplanned way", e.g.
hun rendte rundt i byen i håb om at finde et juletræ (meaning that she didn't know where she could find a christmas tree, but instead just wandered around while hoping to find one).
Rend mig is not considered a curse in the same sense as
f*ck off, it's more equivalent to
screw/bugger off
