It's "Our Father whom art in Heaven" in something that sounds as a mix of Danish and Faroese...

Is it easily understandable?

Yes - but my sister and I just decided it must have been someone with English as his mother tongue reading it  Danish people sound more guttural and faster...

Yes, that is indeed correct. English is my mother tongue. How do I make it sound more guttural?

Oh, you need to ask a Dane in order to get that question answered... A famous Swedish joke: Fill your mouth with porridge and try to speak; voilá: Danish!

Aside from the tempo and (lack of) gutteralness, was there anything else that gave away the fact that it was an English accent?

Hm... To be honest, I think there were too many stød in there :hmm: They were too clear.
Also, you seem to pronounce "skylde" as SK being "SH"? Do you by any chance know Norwegian or Swedish already? Or its pronunciation?

Here's another one. I recorded the sentence "Det er i huset." 6 different ways.

What does each of them sound like?

I can't listen to anything on this computer, I'm afraid... hmm... try posting this in the Danish forum. Or maybe Lintu or anyone could move it.

I recognise the original recording as being the Danish Our Father, however the recording sounds like someone reading each word literally.
Gløgt er gestsins eyga. (Føroyskt orðafelli)
Wise is the stranger's eye. (Faroese saying)
L'occhio dell'ospite è acuto. (Proverbio faroico)
Hosťovo oko je múdre. (Faerské uslovie)

What do you mean by "literally"?

Not very Danish :) Sorry.

Your biggest mistake is that you pronounce "huset" as "hysa" for some reason. I'll make an English pronunciation guide for that sentence:

- the i in in
ð - the th in the

otherwise as in English.

Rigsdansk: d€ air ea hoo-sed
Copenhagen dialect: d€€-ea hoo-seð

Sorry, no microphone, so can't record it for you.

It sounds like someone who doesn't know how to pronounce Danish that is trying to read Danish. Like if I tried to read a French sentence using German/Danish/English/Pinyin orthography. Sorry to be so harsh, but that's what it sounds like :?
