It's really good to be a beginner! It is totally understandable, as Renaçido pointed out. In more advanced stages of your learning I'd nitpick a little more, but well :P

Those [s] sound Andalusian to me.

Thanks, I'll try to work on the points noted. I'll be speaking like a Spaniard-Latino-Hungarian hybrid in no time .

Edit: okay, since apparently none of the early recordings are still available, could one of you do a recording of the first part with an approximation of what a "standard" accent should sound like? Muchas gracias :).

Could you post the text so that I don't have to note it down? Found it. Let me record it.

My accent is not naturally standard, but I have tried to imitate the Standard as much as I can (I refuse to try to do the Castilian [s]'s, I just can't do that whistling sound).

Note that I have avoided yeísmo in the recording, even though it's accepted, since the standard is supposed to distinguish y and ll.

diversidad-castellano-loqu.mp3 - 0.51MB

And this is how I would naturally read it.

diversidad-andaluz-loqu.mp3 - 0.45MB

Same here. When I try it seems I just do... [ʃ].

The way you pronounce it sounds like a [j] to me, something like "[kon.nje.βa]". I'm not saying that you're pronouncing it wrong, I'm just very bad at hearing [ʎ]. :P
It sounds like Caribbean Spanish so much. Except for your pronunciation of /st/ as [t(ʰ)] (they say [ht]), and that you pronounce "saber popular" as the LORD had designed it (i.e. not "sabel popular" ).

In conlleva it doesn't sound so clear because it merges with the n and the n becomes [ɲ]. I pronounce it again in paella and it sounds pretty exaggerated to me. Or I think so, but I'm not sure. I recorded it like 15 times before I actually got a decent audio file, so I don't know if I do that [ʎ] in the final version. I must admit that reading in the "standard" is like reading a tongue-twister to me. God, so many 's's and 'z's can't be human.

Renaçido, we wouldn't ever do an implosive l, we rather transform them all into [ɾ]

You're right, I always forget about this.

You did pronounce "el tópico" as [eɾ.ˈto.pi.ko]. lol

Maybe I should try an accent with a normal ( ) s and with seísmo...all those [θ] are really tongue-twisterish to me. Oh, and loqu, I really like your aspirated s. (that's what it's called, right?)

Lol yeah I meant seseo I was just looking at yeísmo and got confused . Lame old me.
And by normal I meant the s I produce now. So I don't have to complicate things any further.

Please correct my mistakes.

No...

¿Otra? ¿Pero ya te habías grabado? No te recuerdo.
