Thanks, I'll try to work on the points noted. I'll be speaking like a Spaniard-Latino-Hungarian hybrid in no time .
Edit: okay, since apparently none of the early recordings is still available, could one of you do a recording of the first part with an approximation of what a "standard" accent should sound like? Muchas gracias .
Same here. When I try it seems I just do... [ʃ].loqu wrote:My accent is not naturally standard, but I have tried to imitate the Standard as much as I can (I refuse to try to do the Castilian [s]'s, I just can't do that whistling sound).
The way you pronounce it sounds like a [j] to me, something like "[kon.nje.βa]". I'm not saying that you're pronouncing it wrong, I'm just very bad at hearing [ʎ].Note that I have avoided yeísmo in the recording, even though it's accepted, since the standard is supposed to distinguish y and ll.
It sounds like Caribbean Spanish so much. Except for your pronunciation of /st/ as [t(ʰ)] (they say [ht]), and that you pronounce "saber popular" as the LORD had designed it (i.e. not "sabel popular" ).
You're right, I always forget about this.loqu wrote:Renaçido, we wouldn't ever do an implosive l, we rather transform them all into [ɾ]
